Capital Markets Bulletin

About Capital Markets Bulletin

A daily read on financings, transactions and regulatory events across the small- and micro-cap markets.

What we cover

Financings, transactions, listings and regulatory events among small- and micro-cap issuers — the venture end of the market, where a single financing or a single filing changes the picture. We report the event and its mechanics. We do not rate securities and we do not publish price targets.

The sections

Markets leads with the three junior boards — Toronto, Sydney and London — then Canada, the majors, rates and the underlying. Financings carries the day's raises as a deal sheet, with two calendars beneath it: when securities come free of their resale hold, and when warrants come due. Mining, Energy and Tech each carry a board of the sub-sectors that move them. News is the day in capital markets more broadly.

Index levels refresh while the page is open and every page stamps when they were last updated. They are delayed — typically by fifteen minutes, longer on some venues — and are never a real-time quote or an execution price. Where a row is a proxy rather than the thing itself it is named as one in the row — a fund standing in for a sector says so. Where no free series exists, the row is absent rather than approximated.

The industry wire

Alongside our own reporting, each section carries a wire of third-party industry news: a headline, a one-sentence summary written here, the publisher's name and a link. The wire links out; it never reproduces. The article stays with the publisher who wrote it and the click goes to them. Nothing on this site is anyone else's text.

The placement tracker

Financings announced on the venture boards, with the terms as disclosed: size, price, whether the unit carries a half warrant, a full one or none, the instrument and the broker. From those records we derive two things nobody else publishes — the date each placement's securities come free of their four-month hold, and the date its warrants expire.

Rows are read from the issuers' own releases. Every figure is either stated in the release or shown as undisclosed; nothing is computed that the issuer did not give, and no closing date is inferred from a release date. Coverage is what our sources surface, which is less than a dealer's desk sees. We would rather be incomplete and right.

How it is produced

Entries are assembled from primary filings, newswire releases and established financial media, and drafted with editorial assistance from a large language model. Each draft is then checked by a separate automated editorial review that reads it back against the sources it cites and holds anything it cannot verify against them. An entry that is held does not publish until a person has resolved it. Every entry lists its sources, and anything resting solely on an issuer's own statement is flagged as such.

We describe this plainly because readers are entitled to know how what they are reading was made. The check reduces the risk of an unsupported figure or an invented detail reaching the site; it does not eliminate it, and it is not a guarantee of accuracy. Corrections are noted on the entry.

Card images are illustrative. They never depict a transaction, a company, a person or a chart.

The data, as data

Everything above is also published in machine-readable form at /api/v1/ — the current issue, every entry, the markets boards, the placement tracker, the exchange record and the wire — rebuilt whenever the site is. It carries the same figures, the same caveats and the same delays as the pages, and the conditions for using it are on the terms page.

Corrections

We correct errors of fact promptly and note the correction on the entry. Write to info@cmbulletin.com.
