The NXG Cushing® Midstream Energy Fund (NYSE: SRV), a closed-end fund, said its Board of Trustees has approved changing the fund's name to The NXG Cushing® Energy Infrastructure Fund, effective December 18, 2026. The fund's ticker symbol, SRV, and its CUSIP, 231631300, will remain unchanged, according to the announcement, which was released October 16, 2026, from the fund's Dallas offices.
Alongside the name change, the Board approved amending the fund's non-fundamental investment policies. The fund's rule requiring at least 80% of its assets to be invested in a defined category will shift that category from "midstream energy investments" to "energy infrastructure investments."
The release states that as of October 15, 2026, approximately 90% of the Fund's net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, already consisted of energy infrastructure investments, and that the Fund therefore does not anticipate any change to its investment approach or rebalancing of its portfolio as a result of the amendment. No shareholder approval or action is required for either the name change or the policy amendment, the release said.
No shareholder vote or other approval was required for either change, the release said, and investors need take no action; the fund's New York Stock Exchange listing and CUSIP are unaffected. Beyond the name, the policy amendment and the asset figures above, the release discloses no further detail about the Board's reasoning.
